The Kingdom’s Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh met the European Parliament’s delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula in Riyadh on Sunday.
The delegation was headed by Hannah Neuman, and also comprised other members of the parliament who are currently visiting Saudi Arabia. The two sides discussed topics of mutual interest.
The general supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, also met the delegation at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by the Kingdom’s ambassador to the EU, Saad bin Mohammed Al-Arifi.
The parties discussed matters related to relief and humanitarian affairs as well as the possibility of cooperation in these areas.
Al-Rabeeah gave an overview of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom in 47 countries around the world in cooperation with local, regional and international partners, saying that Yemen had the largest share of these projects.
The delegation praised the ties between the Kingdom and the European Parliament, remarking on the center’s work in the relief and humanitarian arena.
